Ah well. I guess I'll survive, somehow, and perhaps even grow and learn from the experience.

Lys, according to the Imeres Pyros, Caine gave himself the gift of delusion and used it to delude himself into believing he killed Abel out of love, instead of hatred. And in making pride out of shame, Caine was outcast by God. Caine was sent to wander the lands of Nod. It was there he encountered Lilith, first wife of Adam. There they grew close and became lovers, and Caine begged for the power that Lilith held. As she prepared a ceremony of awakening, Caine was visited by three angels of God, each giving him a chance to repent for the death of Abel. He rejected all three, and they each laid a curse upon him and all he would sire. A forth angel, the archangel Raphael, appeared to Caine and offered him the way of Golconda, the enlightened path back. Caine never achieved Golconda, but was awakened and gained the disciplines we know him to have, as well as awareness of the Path of Blood, from which all other paths stemmed.
With these powers, Caine broke his bonds with Lilith and left her. He then wondered in loneliness in the lands of Nod for many years, lost in his sorrow. Finally, he came once more into the company of men and settled in the land of Ubar. There, in the First City, he became the Dark Father.
And that is why, at least in vampire, God has forsaken you.

And for that, among other things, Lilith never forgave Caine. Or Yahweh. Or Lucifer.
You know the old saying about being able to tell the measure of a person by the caliber of their enemies?

But i never asked for this!
Oh, and you're thinking of the
Book of Nod, the Imeres Pyros tells the history of the world from Lucifer's perspective.

Yes it did, but the bit about the gift of delusion comes from the Imeres Pyros, not the Book of Nod.

No Vampire this coming Monday. A reminder from your God in residence.
