Yes but Jax doesn't know Eddie is a croc. Jax just knows Eddie is 'different.' No one has explained to Jax that different in this case is a were-croc and that the reason the gators wont eat him if he stays with Eddie is because they're more afraid of Eddie than hungry for Jax. Of course someone might have said something to Jax before and he just doesn't remember or never picked up on it. Jax is a bit out of it like that.

I'm suspecting none of the mages know what Eddies is capable of, apart from having very accurate knowledge of the past. Well, apart from the boss, who probably checked his true form.

Maybe I need to stop watching NCIS before posting. I get Abby's voice in my head and she starts going on on a ramble that absolutely has to be typed into the story. And yes, it is Abby talking, even if I named my char Ally. Next thing you know, she'll be talking to a Mass Spectrometer, or have a plushie that makes odd noises.

I do apologize DS, everybody, I got caught up in end of the year projects/studying for finals and literally forgot about the game. I only have one left, and that's on Friday. Now that things have slowed down there shouldn't be any more delays.

You have already started off the game with a HUGE MINUS by pissing off the Archmage. Right now, Ally thinks you're a huge idiot for not knowing to shut up the first time. Jax is probably trying NOT to predict a "Bad End" for you. You've done nothing to impress, just showed your ass.

Don't believe I have that merit Tev, and even if I did Cole would still be acting like he is. If it means Ally blowing up in his face that'll be a fun scene to run. If she ends up giving him the cold shoulder that will be less entertaining for a while, but probably more so in the long run.

As it stands I assure you that I realize I'm making Cole seem like a little bastard, but he has good reason for it.

Besides, even if Cole did want to be contrite he can't at the moment. If the professor is trying the mind mojo to figure out what's making him act like this I haven't gotten a pm from DS or anything.

oh, don't worry, the Archmage isn't worried about WHY Cole thinks what he does - he's more pissed off that Cole was too stupid to get the hint the first time, and pushed him into levels of "pissed off" by restating his words in a way which would seem to make it seem as if Cole thinks Steele is a easily fooled twit.....

Basically, Steele wants to punish Cole for not just saying "I'm sorry" when he had a chance.

And Cole gets that, which is why he's taking his punishment without comment. If the why of it comes out later in the game that'll be fun, but for now he just looks like a colossal idiot.
