Alright, after Tallos, we have Lysander, Shaddai, then Cipriani, then the ground rules in the meeting room - after that, free RP for a bit until the next stop.

After frigid posts, then Shaddai, then Cipriani.
I promise not to shoe-horn things into single-file line again unless I have to - it does slow the game down.

As a sidenote, if any of you wish to talk or otherwise interact in the starboard conference room until the last three have boarded, you may.

Okay, I'm just going to come out and say it. Sabre. Punctuation, capitalization, assorted grammatical correctness. PLEASE. I do a lot of writing, and your posts are oft...painful. Just...take some time, look it over, get it right, and the whole assembly becomes better for it.

However hand writing am perfectly fine it just works
now typing i learned how to type from the evil msn when i was young so bad habits die hard aka no official keyboard typing skills basically
Punctuation = i dont know where to use it most of the time :(
capitalization= i can do this part :P
assorted grammatical correctness= yeah 1000years later :/ joke aside this is probably my hardest area
in the end am trying to get better :)

Bullshit. Sentence structure, capitalization, and grammar are the same whether or not the sentence is typed or written long hand. We aren't here to quiz you on the proper uses of the semi-colon, but you had better get in the habit of writing coherent sentences with capitalization at the beginning and punctuation at the end. If it takes you a lot of time, then spend a lot of time. This isn't ICQ or AIM.Sabre72 wrote:

i didn't mean to angry you at all Cynical Cat i dont know you but anyway yes i welcome your feedback

and i never asked to be Quizzed I will accept nitpicks I wont get anywhere if i am spoon fed after all :P
i want to improve thats why i take part in this game my effort will turn into fun for me and i like this motivation

You posted where you failed to capitalize at the beginning of a sentence, use punctuation at the end of a sentence, and capitalize "I".
The problem, I repeat, is not your fucking typing skills. Those determine how quickly it takes you to type and if you know where letters are on the keyboard. The issue is that your sentence construction is atrocious (actually it's closer to nonexistent) and this isn't something that miraculously changes between handwritten and typed sentences.

Yes you are right, typing skill refers to knowing how to use a keyboard. I just found it easier with handwriting, I get distracted a lot, I get really connect and focused with my handwriting then with keyboard.
The pen and paper to keyboard through me out the window , I think what am trying to say is that my hands would stop and pause with my mind as am saying what am writing, thus all the correct stuff would get placed naturally. What I think one of my problems may be is when I re-read my work, I lose my thought when I was writing so spots get missed or something gets completely butchered.
Another issue is being in a rush for no reason , I know all this stuff, i just have to remember it as I haven't used it in awhile, think before I post.
One thing i've been told so far is to try and picture myself actually talking to someone in person. With that I can picture where all the niffy grammar, commas, periods ect should go while typing with a keyboard.
Not sure about you, but the difference of being connected to what i write with pen & paper vs keyboard is very different to me. I just need to make that "connection" with the keyboard and mainly slow my hands down and look at the thing and take my time.
Now if I could only read my writing .....lmao!
p.s
I learned how to read and write very differently, I struggled with it most my elementary school life and a lot of 1 on 1 help and new programs made to help people like me. Keyboards were not included in this, most of my learning came with visual hands on stuff, which is one reason why am playing this game to have fun while learning/remembering how I did it with pen and paper and apply it to the keyboard.

Yes I try friend, I want smooth easy to read posts just as much as the next guy. I may have rambled on above but i think i was proving to myself that I can do it. Plus me rambling is only incoherent thoughts not in any particular order, which leads me to repeating myself.Cynical Cat wrote:That is much better. Thank you.
lmao Ill leave the talking to junko for awhile now after she stops yelling at me.
Edit
Am going to go sleep and be amazed that I just wrote the above sentence. I guess focusing is the power I need to use.
Junko, "shut up and go to sleep you fool!"

Wow, this one really went off on a tangent while I was at work. Congratulations on the whole, "Learning how to use sentence structure" thing Sabre. (-_^)b
Now then, I've placed my character in the Starboard Conference room and established my bunk area as the Starboard Observation deck, if anyone feels in the mood, they can swing on by and save my character from the unforgiving world of Minesweeper. Because in the words of Sol'Amon Nar Tolshek, "Minesweeper is hard."

I set my room up as the starboard cargo area as a krogan would require a specialized bunk, and the ones set up for the human, turian, and quarian spectre candidates would collapse under his weight or be too small for him.

Ok, things are moving along nicely toward the proper prelude to the game.
So, we're just waiting on Marcao to do his post meeting Shep, and then we'll all soon be on Mindoir, dealing with shenanigans.

For those of you asking about the experience costs, what they buy you, and what they mean, here's the mostly-finished version. If I update it, I'll leave notes.
XP Intro
Once a character has been granted an XP point, that point may be used to improve existing skills, or purchase a new skill (at base rank of 1) from the allowed list of skills per that character's MOS.
Changing your MOS
You can change your MOS whenever you are awarded an XP point. However, if you do, you don't gain or lose any skills. To gain skills from the new MOS, you must purchase them (at base rank 1) with XP points. However, you cannot improve any skills your character has that are not a part of your character's active MOS - they stay frozen at the rank they last were, but can still be used as-is. For all of these reasons, changes to your character's MOS should not be taken lightly.
Skill Improvements
The skill improvements work much as they did in ME2, though with an extra rank for specialization (for a total of five ranks). The first three upgrade ranks are generic upgrades to a skill (damage, range, resilience, accuracy, etc.). The fourth rank is where a skill begins true specialization, and the fifth (and final) rank is the logical extension of that specialization. This can (and is encouraged to be) character-specific.
"Special" Skills
A character's "special" skill is a skill unique to that character, normally developed and received through gameplay and/or storyline events. Examples of this would be the unlockable character skills in ME2, but in this game, you are encouraged to be creative, though within the confines of the ME game universe.
If you have questions about any of this, please either reply in the thread, or message me directly.

Ok - I haven't seen posts from Fisher or Marcao moving their characters to the meeting - so, if I don't see any posts within 24 hours, I'm just going to move things along to the meeting, and then to Mindoir, so we can get all this shit started properly.
EDIT: Thanks, Fisher. Marcao? All on you, good sir.
EDIT2: Thank you, Nitram - heh, geth drama. Gotta love it.

I'll give those of you in the room a little bit of time for free RP if you want, and then everyone (those aboard the Normandy, and the two on the shuttle) will arrive on Mindoir. I'll make the arrival post at about this time tomorrow.

And with that, everyone, including Iona and Junko, have arrived at Pinnacle Station. For those of you familiar with Pinnacle Station from ME1, welcome to hell. For those of you unfamiliar... well, you'll find out.
You'll get some time for free RP before the trials really start. Pinnacle Station isn't anywhere near as large as Omega, but it does feel like a comfortable, roomy station for its size. Judging by the uniforms you see around, it's staffed primarily with Human Alliance and Turian Military personnel.
