I don't suppose I had to roll for intimidation or something in my last post?

You heard the man, they never came back, no traces! They were eaten by crazy cultists to a man!

Doesn't look like any of us have melta training, if one of us do take it, what's the penalty?

Some honest advice: if you do that, make sure that guy is way in front of everyone else. I've heard those penalties are messy.

Don't Meltas explode from time to time?

No, Plasmas are the ones that overheat, Meltas just have shit range. I think it's a -20 or -30 for not being proficient

On that vein, would I have to roll (agility?) to follow the quartermaster into the armoury? My character wants to know what goodies he might be hiding.

Do I have to roll perception to notice him doing that, and stopping him before he gets us all shot?

Have a very nice day.

Well, this quartermaster doesn't exactly sound like he doesn't let people walk over him.

But there is the small matter of the Commissar, who will surely hear of this and not be happy.

"Glaring at the impertinent psyker, Yalt says, "I may derive mirth from things, but I rarely joke. That is all I was ordered to supply for you from this base. I do however believe that there is an Inquisition dispension for gear, bribes, and the like. And while I don't think it was explicitly stated, I will certainly pull so strings so that the quartermaster can get you plenty of ammunition for your weapons. Armour... maybe if you can con it out of him, this is primarily a PDF base so all of the second rate gear they get will have already been issued, so you're looking at the third rate scraps." A derisive look for the PDF crosses the commissar's scarred face for a moment."
"Very well then, if there are no further questions this briefing is over. Report to the quartermaster for your gear and I will authorize the issuance of additional ammunition, and you may attempt to weedle anything else out of him."
It doesn't sound like the Commissar would.

All right, perhaps I roll to convince the quartermaster to bring me along. Barring that I guess I'll just make a list like the rest of you and hope he'll actually have and issue it.

Solomon Zane was born the fourth son of Hive Tarsus’s Zane family. If you’ve never heard of them, well, there’s a reason for that. The Zane family is not exactly the pick of the litter. Solomon, being the fourth son of four, is also not exactly the pick of the litter. His family tried to set him on an upright, productive path but the only studies that he had any enthusiasm for were those instructed by the house’s master of arms. He took to target shooting with both pistol and rifle like a pig to filth. He progressed exactly nowhere with the family agri-business, which involved both pigs and filth. “Pigsâ€

Yes, I would call bullshit on his ballistic skill too if I hadn't rolled the damned dice myself. At least he's not from Gunmetal City.

As to the respirators being offered, they only offer +20 to toughness tests against inhaled toxins rather than the usual +30, but you still get the reroll.

It is waiting for you, although the driver will probably get annoyed if you decide to take a nap.

Are there any more requests for the quartermaster? If not, perhaps discussing amongst yourselves where to go next and moving towards the transport would be a good idea.

Unless it can be used as bribes amongst the downtrodden...

fgalkin, I and the other fellow intend to get something to eat. Either the Mess or a pub or something. The Mess would be best if we are in a hurry.
