Also, rhoenix, you now know why you were pretty much doomed to failure while fighting Garxon. Those feats Saidan has? Yeah, Garxon has them and more. DR/lawful, its a bitch.

Ouch! It does make sense, then.Academia Nut wrote:Also, rhoenix, you now know why you were pretty much doomed to failure while fighting Garxon. Those feats Saidan has? Yeah, Garxon has them and more. DR/lawful, its a bitch.
You're making me wish again that I'd made that monk.

You wouldn't have had the ability to penetrate his defences at level 6 and you would have taken extra damage. Extra real damage.

Well, double ouch then. Playing a tactless Duskblade still works.Academia Nut wrote:You wouldn't have had the ability to penetrate his defences at level 6 and you would have taken extra damage. Extra real damage.

So I'm guessing Bartel would have done even worse?

Let's put it this way, if you had followed through with your smite+strength I'm fairly certain by the math you would have missed. Garxon would have then pointed out that he hadn't been doing anything illegal at the time and proceeded to thrash the shit out of you in front of witnesses in 'self defence' and then left you broken and bleeding, amused that he managed to get you to break the law but not wanting to kill you because then you wouldn't have learned your 'lesson'.
He's a real dick like that.
Also, Doran is keeping his tentacles hidden beneath his clothing right now, you can't really see them.

Also Saiden isn't obviously inhuman.

Well, that depends on how you interpret the Demonic Skin feat as the penalty to escape artist is supposed to be because your scales are sharp and get caught on stuff, and with a +3 natural armour bonus at the moment that's some pretty hefty skin there. Still, way less noticeable than Daron seeing as you don't take cumulative penalties to a pile of Charisma based skills.

Figured as much. Still, definitely got the otherworldly going on with 4 abyssal heritor feats, although the tentacles definitely make Daron win out in the freakishness department. Although maybe if his charisma was better he could get the nymphs or dryads to give him the time of day and...
No, no. Mustn't go down that path. Down that path lies madness.

How I'm interpreting it is that those with more sensitive senses will be able to notice a certain..."otherworldly" feeling to CynCat's character. AN's character is more immediately unsettling, swamp-thing sort of feel.Academia Nut wrote:Figured as much. Also - I'm just waiting on Jason, Rogue9, and Haizu to make at least one post before I push things along so all of you meet the king. This is intended to be calm and such before then, to get all of you settled into your characters and interactions before I start tossing you into the lands of WTF.

There's probably also a bit of an unpleasant smell around Daron what with the whole eating things most people don't consider food and generally not minding the smell of decay. As for Mr. Cha 20, well maybe we're all afraid he'll steal all of the hot chicks if we sit next to him. There's got to be a Japanese schoolgirl somewhere around here!
Also, can we summon Captain Planet? 'Cause that would be great if we could summon Captain Planet.
And all I need is one more question from Rogue 9 and I can throw all of your guys down the rabbit hole.

Alright, the waitress strikes again. And no, CynCat, I wasn't having her deliberately snub you because you managed to get an utterly offensive stat - that was merely a fun side-effect.

See... I offered to RP the waitress. I was going to have Cyncat's high-Char character all but mobbed by every waitress in the room, even have the old crone that does the baking come out to fawn over him.
But Noooooooooooo.

Lol, this reminds me of a Shadowrun character I have. He walks into a room and chicks clothes melt off them (metaphorically speaking of course).

Ah, the awkward difficulties of being a scavenger. I'm sure that will be the most common question for the party from Daron. "Are you going eat that?"
