I'll put it forth so that I don't generate something Rogue counteracts by sending Tiamat in the first encounter. Least to most.
1) Two flaws, adding two invocations from Extra Invocation. Summon Swarm and Magic Insight grant me damage when you guys are busy, and can instantly identify magical auras.
2) Two Flaws, Dragonwrought Kobold. Superior mental stats, less HP, more AC. Removes the Mercantile, add Awaken Frightful Presense. Now when I breath, they suffer the effects of fear.
3) Half-Elf, two flaws, no Mercentile. Add Complementary Insight, Extra Invocation(Beguiling Influence), Polite and Honest traits. My bluff and intimidate suffer, but my Diplomacy check bonus shoots up to +16, and will hit +26 2nd level, and just keep climbing.
4) See if Rogue will let me drop my strength to 10 to put back my 17 I rolled into Con. Two flaws. Maximize Breath and Power Surge. 7 damage a round, 4 rounds entangled when I blast someone with my breath weapon.

You get to arrange your stats however you want. Until the campaign starts, you can rebuild as much as you want, and you don't have to drop a stat to ten just because you want to move one to CON. Unless I'm misunderstanding something.

I would go with the half-elf

I noticed 2 problems with your character comrade, first off that you should only speak Common, Gnome and up to your Intellegince mod in languages, not all your race and class can learn.Comrade Tortoise wrote:
Languages: Common, Gnome, Draconic, elvish, dwarf, celestial, infernal, abyssal, terran, ignan, goblin
Spells per Day

0, prestidigitation, read magic, detect magic, ray of frost
1, mage armor, benign transposition, ray of flame, grease
Also you do not get a bonus spell to Spells per Day from your Int mod as well as if you have a 20 Int for casting which you get from Spellcasting Prodigy then you should have 1 first level spell, plus 2 from Int bonus not 3+1

Okay if you were using speak language the skill then I am wrong but even then your skill points are fairly off, you should have 24 Skill ranks total and using Speak Language is not a class skill for a wizard the first point into it gets you to speak the language and the second gets you the literacy, so you could at most have 2 ranks in it, not 4, albeit you would have invested 4 ranks since it is cross class

Even though I'm not playing (Don't even have a passing familiarity with 3/3.5) I'm more then willing to offer up my usual insane collection of pdf books for use for anyone who needs the reference materials.
Here
Players or GM who needs some materials, just hit me up on IM and I'll kick em your way. I'm aware there are some duplicates as I havent' gone through and cleaned out my entire stash yet.
Oh, and since a few people requested a character sheet repository, I've set one up on Librium. It can be reached here Register, and create a character. Rogue will have to create a campaign as well.

I have but one thing to say in reference to that... WTF looking at it you are right, speak language is cross classed for wizards, which makes no fucking sense what so ever.Jason_Firewalker wrote:Okay if you were using speak language the skill then I am wrong but even then your skill points are fairly off, you should have 24 Skill ranks total and using Speak Language is not a class skill for a wizard the first point into it gets you to speak the language and the second gets you the literacy, so you could at most have 2 ranks in it, not 4, albeit you would have invested 4 ranks since it is cross class
You are however flat wrong on the points for literacy.
peak Language (None; Trained Only)
Common Languages and Their Alphabets Language Typical Speakers Alphabet
Abyssal Demons, chaotic evil outsiders Infernal
Aquan Water-based creatures Elven
Auran Air-based creatures Draconic
Celestial Good outsiders Celestial
Common Humans, halflings, half-elves, half-orcs Common
Draconic Kobolds, troglodytes, lizardfolk, dragons Draconic
Druidic Druids (only) Druidic
Dwarven Dwarves Dwarven
Elven Elves Elven
Giant Ogres, giants Dwarven
Gnome Gnomes Dwarven
Goblin Goblins, hobgoblins, bugbears Dwarven
Gnoll Gnolls Common
Halfling Halflings Common
Ignan Fire-based creatures Draconic
Infernal Devils, lawful evil outsiders Infernal
Orc Orcs Dwarven
Sylvan Dryads, brownies, leprechauns Elven
Terran Xorns and other earth-based creatures Dwarven
Undercommon Drow Elven

Try Again
Not applicable. There are no Speak Language checks to fail.
The Speak Language skill doesn’t work like other skills. Languages work as follows.
* You start at 1st level knowing one or two languages (based on your race), plus an additional number of languages equal to your starting Intelligence bonus.
* You can purchase Speak Language just like any other skill, but instead of buying a rank in it, you choose a new language that you can speak.
* You don’t make Speak Language checks. You either know a language or you don’t.
* A literate character (anyone but a barbarian who has not spent skill points to become literate) can read and write any language she speaks. Each language has an alphabet, though sometimes several spoken languages share a single alphabet
I would posit a house rule, that the fucking combat scholar known as a wizard, have speak language as a class skill. However, the sheet has been modified to reflect the present asinine official ruling from the text

After all... Search and Spot are not Class Skills for Paladins, Fighters, Warblades, etc. I think fighters have a greater cause for getting House Rules there CT.

Okay Jason, about your character. I'm going to have to ask you to use a race that's native to the Forgotten Realms; grey elves are not.

I'm curious if this is going to be more roll-playing or role-playing if you catch my drift. Are we talking about more combat and battles then RPing?
I ask because I was looking through the books(though I still don't know all that I need to, not even af raction) to try to come up with a viable rogue/skill monkey.

I mean I expected combat, don't get me wrong. Take into account I've never ran in 3.5 and am not familar with Rogue's usual style of DMing. Of course this is assuming he even needs that sort of character and has room as he's mentioned he's limited on enrollment

Forgive me, I was just checking out that linked character sheet to use as a template for creating my own, and...
Where the hell did a Rock Gnome Evoker with a "Frail" get 26 HP at level 1? Even with the bonus from that enormous CON stat?

Whoa.... we get our CON SCORE added to our base HP? That increases my HP from 10 to 25.
That's a little more like it.
And sorry about the domain spell confusion. I'll fix it in the actual character sheet.
