Definitely a good thing that the Scylla is sneaky-sneaking along on a ballistic trajectory, given that I got dragooned into GMing a Dark Heresy game. Rest assured I'm still following things, and will spring into explosions the instant it is required.

...uh...I mean action.

*muttermutter* So much worldbuilding, so many sprites....

I hope to have an acknowledgement post to Commadore Anderson by the end of the week.

It's been a long week.

I will be posting tomorrow. I will be giving cynical some ammunition for morizan as well as moving the scene forward slightly. The S'harien will begin docking procedures with the Saeihr.

I had to break my post into 2 parts. My next post will have us all dock to the Saeihr and get this party started.

Hey Havoc, if we are picking up the transmission, that would mean passive sensors can snag it... but we just cannot decode it without effort. Unless you mean to say we are picking up the energy spike from their comm array, but not the transmission itself.

Would it be possible to decode said transmission?

Sorry it took so long, a combination of school, work and a pair of crazed aliens making a hash of things delayed me.

Thanks Cat.

For future reference, folks, Cat actually did pretty much what I would have liked to have done. Commander Tak didn't have the authority to do it and Captain Anderson couldn't give the order being miles away from his bridge and tactical.

In a situation like this, stopping the transport from reaching their target and finding out what is going on is the proper play. I won't use OOC to give orders though as that would be unfair and against the spirit of the game I feel.

Just how much can Scylla see from however far away it is by now on its ballistic approach? I started to write something, then realized that I had no idea what my resident Texan could actually tell from that range.

The neutrino pulses are pretty small, and the Badlands is just chock full of interference of every sort. Almost certainly, you cannot detect the pulses from where you are standing. However you can certainly detect the assault transports and the movement (though not the targeting locks) of the allied warships.
