Damn good find, Josh. It's not often I hear vocals added to an instrumental that work, but in this case... it really does.

Funny thing- my best bud's never even played Mass Effect, though he's watched most of the Youtubes about it and loves the soundtrack. It was actually his find, but I thought you in particular might appreciate it.

Well, thank you - I am still interested in the universe, and think it has much untapped potential for shenanigans. That piece of music helped inspire a scene, even.

BTW: I do wish to apologize for any harm done to the Humboldt should it once again decide to position itself between my previously launched missiles and where my target was at that time. As I recall, that was how it got hurt the LAST TIME.

In short, CT, Keep Your Vessel Out Of My Way. :thumb:

PS: WHY did you think I needed help, anyway?
A) I am getting a bit bored by being stuck with the majority of my crew doing things on an 8 hour time clock that passes like molasses when the time interval between rounds is at most 10 to 30 minutes.
B) Your close in weaponry is weak (in the sense that there are massive coverage gaps, and not many mounts). If they get inside your torpedo envelope, which they were until I forced them off course, they could pick you apart. I have virtually no standoff weapons, but a shit ton of more close ranged beam and specialty weapons. Havoc might abstract things a bit, but while you can reduce the exact effect of ship design on the precise outcome of a fight, I cannot really remove it from in-character tactical consideration.

As for the last time I got damaged. No. I had been on a very predictable moving course. Dont blame your bad rolls (and subsequent fuckup of your gunnery crews) on the actions of my ship. It is not as if your crew could not have seen it the fuck coming.

Do we, ah, not have any data linkage between TF vessels so I don't need to wait for a friendly call from the ever-cheerful Captain Kadon to let me know that the forecast today is Rain of Doom?

Just askin'.

(If we don't... um... for future reference might be a wee little 'save all our asses' thing in the future.)

Did you set up a data linkage between the vessels of this task force?

No?

I will try but Tlorn has not really noticed they are there yet. I mean, he has been informed, he knows, but it just has not occurred to him yet.

Thread's got me rereading The Final Reflection.

Been around thirty years since I read it the first time, and no idea when the last time was. Sometime during my mid-to-late adolescence, I think.

I reread it every couple of years. It's light, fast, and packed with good stuff. It's one of the best "first contact with aliens" type novels out there. What can you say about a book that contains a love story where neither of the lovers ever use the word "love" or anything like it, but we can clearly tell how much they care for each other?

My ship has two mottoes because I couldn't decide on just one. Neither is as cool now as they seemed when I picked them, but that's how it is with mottoes.

Hey rhoenix if you don't want to Gilgamesh be chased by that frigate all the way back to Bajor, you might want to cooperate with Khanjar in lining up that perfect shot.

If anyone's got crew on the tender that they're not equipped or in position to recover, Scylla's got transport capacity to burn and has made the offer. Also, I maintain that the only reason 'We'll talk later' was never used as an 80s action movie line immediately prior to shooting someone is that there weren't really any eighties action movies with phasers and stun settings. Shame, that.

My impression is that the cube is heading toward the combat taskforce, not the main portion of the fleet. Havoc, is this correct?
