Ok, I posted.

The "Borsch" joke was a Chekov line from one of the novels. He was trying to navigate a stolen Klingon vessel while cloaked and bitching about the sensor noise.

If you don't get the rest of the jokes, you need help.

Put them in tuxedos, serving drinks. The pirates seeing that should give them pause for thought.

PIRATE: "Are... those Borg drones?"

CREW: "Yeah - now they serve our food and drinks."

Security Teams can be hidden. Besides I doubt he'll accept.

I apologize for lack of posts. Life has been interesting lately. It's safe to say the Katara has been retired. I leave it up to the GM to decide what to do with the Spoon Head Pirate.

I may return at a later time with a different ship, but for now, I'm officially off the game.

Though for the record, Hizir never stole his ship.

tevartahalshia11:42 PM
I like it better than the regular.
Ok.. but what about the wife?

IRWriter8611:42 PM
His wife... well Hizir is kinda like Kirk when it comes to women. It's possible.
He wouldn't remember the incident though.

tevartahalshia11:43 PM
Which is why Eoife Kirk wants nothin to do with you. She knows the type

IRWriter8611:43 PM
Pfft. You know Eoife wants to see him with only his hat on.

tevartahalshia11:44 PM
In the back of my mind Eoife says "Ew..."

IRWriter8611:44 PM
Fine. Danava with nothing but the fancy hat on.

tevartahalshia11:45 PM
I am NOT That kind of KIRK

IRWriter8611:45 PM
Never know until you try.

tevartahalshia11:45 PM
I will point out it took a moment before she answered. She had to consider it.
That would be amusing if she was Lesbian.. but I doubt it

IRWriter8611:47 PM
"Lesbianism, there's a pheromone for that."

tevartahalshia11:48 PM

A note to all concerned.

Due to the circumstances of the conversation that you are all about to have, I am imposing the following rule. Any post that deals with the comm meeting you are having must be one-shot locked. You are not allowed to edit any posts concerning that meeting, not for typos or grammar or anything else. Any posts regarding this meeting that are edited will be misplaced and mistranslated by interference from the plasma storms.

No, the GM does not have to obey these rules. This is because I am an asshole.
Gaze upon my works, ye mighty, and despair...

Charon, you may want to post an ooc clarification regarding what exactly was in the transmission, as it looks very much like you just flat out transmitted the fact that Captain Hizir exists.

"Inform the Commodore that the IRW Gannius, captained by Commander Khoal Mliessan Othan, is willing to take the honor of docking with the opposing fleet. Captain Hizir is currently indisposed and Shodar Tyran is a hgh ranking commander of the Orion Syndicate. We will be prepared for the meeting."
I did just say he exists. In a tight beam heavily encrypted message aimed directly at the Immortal behind me. If Tyran can pick that up I think we have much bigger problems than if he knows Hizir exists.

Really, why dawn? As soon as one of those puppies detonates, dawn is guaranteed.

You know, both parties need to either have access to or be given the weapon chosen. So thanks for the free Genesis torpedo.

Rheonix?
"Well," Captain Solheim with a small smile, "the security profiles of the workers on the shuttle weren't double-checked, even though the Tal'Shiar made sure they were all shot afterwards. I just rigged one of the bulkheads in the shuttle with a single bullet, glue, and a pin."
EXPLAIN, dammit.

Explain what, that he McGuyver'ed the problem?

The punchline is that the solution was rather low-tech, considering the circumstances.

And makes no bloody sense. Without a barrel you wouldn't be able to aim the damn bullet, it would be just as likley to hit the pilot, or anyone else in the cabin with the Senator. And that's just the most obvious mistake. Firearms all have barrels for a bloody reason Tyson.

The second less obvious mistake is that simply tapping a bullet primer with a pin will not set it off, there has to be some good force behind the blow. Modern firearms have spring loaded pins... Also for a bloody reason Tyson.

You made it to complicated. Just poison the man's underwear or something!

Actually, if the shell can be secured, you don't need a barrel per se. In that case, the shell would act as the guidance for the slug, but it wouldn't be very accurate at all, and you'd lose a LOT of power to the shot unless it's a gyrojet round (which adds to the accuracy problem).

Moreover, while kinetic rounds are being used, when's the last time anyone ever used gunpowder? Given energy storage and generation technologies, slugthrowers in this universe tend to be railguns of some type or another.

On the other hand, a scan of the ship would reveal some sort of super mini-railgun. A bullet? They're more likely to miss that. Plus, if he took a rivet, or whatever they use to hold the inside of the ship together out that would at least give him a rudimentary barrel. Not enough for pinpoint accuracy, but enough to get it in the general direction you want it to go.

In other news. Reasons I love this board, because conversations like this come up.

And Charon for the win. Additionally, the Senator was going to sit in a specific spot the whole flight, so it would've made aiming much easier.
