While I think those of you that have played the game before probably know what you're dealing with, Knowledge: Religion checks are needed for your characters to figure it out. Listen checks will be needed for you to pinpoint where the scream came from, presuming you save.

Also, be glad your assailant didn't realize Ceridwen is a paladin otherwise she would have been targetted to remove the Aura of Courage.

I suppose Bartel is out of range of the fear effect?

Yup, even with Ceridwen there, you are now going to be running in absolute terror along a random path for the next 48 seconds Eight. Also, you drop anything you were carrying.

You run this turn... 1= north, 2= north-east, 3=east, etc.

Son of a bitch...

Well, like I said Nut, I'm gonna make up for that 20.

And I'm gonna make up for this by tearing the head off of whatever did this.

Crap on a stick.

Edit: I doubt you can, if my guess as to what this is proves correct.

And I thought panic made you run away from the source of fear, not completely randomly.

Yeah, Bartel is well out of range. And you don't know what it is that attacked you with that crappy roll. But you do note that the scream came from the little house to the west of their position. You are on a north-west street and you were hurled north out of the community.

Eight has no idea where the source is, so he's running randomly.

Well, Volemack just barely succeeds due to your aunt's presence. Tevar is going to be so smug over this one I bet.

If Fehl passes this then Eight is never going to live it down.

That's still a ways away bucko, and you haven't seen anything yet. Although rolling double 4s on the panic was really sucky for you.

Yeah. The failure wasn't nearly as bad as the 8 rounds of fleeing in panic. So I'm just gonna assume Eight's out of combat unless he runs into something (and quite probably over it).

Well, I was nice and decided that you are running towards Bartel (or rather in his general direction) and he did prepare remove fear today, so if he wants to use it on you, you might still be in this fight. Plus, this is probably going to be a bit... unconventional.

Hate to break it to you, but he has no idea if it would even work, since he doesn't know the nature of warforged.

...Wow, I can't believe I forgot to include my saves on my character sheet. Oops. Well, as if level 6, +5fort, +2reflex, +5will.

Bartel's double move is 40 feet per round. He was flung 120 feet, so that's three rounds just to get back to where he was, and then he has to advance to the house.

Yes, I did just have the ghost telekinesis Ceridwen into Bartel. Ceridwen takes 3 damage, Bartel takes 2. Technically there is no rules for hurling one character into the other, but there is nothing I see that forbids such a use, so I went with my instincts.

Well, Eight's going to be all for following the ghosts suggestion. After all we were only paid to see what happened.

Once he's done screaming and running like a little bitch...

Well, the good news is that the fear effect is almost half over. The bad news is that it will take you another 8 rounds to run back into town. The really bad news is that everyone who saved is immune for the next twenty-four hours, while those that failed... not so much.

That wouldn't work, as the ghost has no smell and makes absolutely no noise unless it wishes to, and it is incorpeal. You need a non-magical form of blindsense or blindsight to detect it.

And See Invisible will detect the ghost on the ethereal plane, yes. It is however still capable of hiding.

If the 'Nonmagical-required' is not a typo and to me... My Blindsense is (Ex).
