Back. Hit them hard. And Comrade Tortoise, I really hope you got B4's permission to autopost a major villian out for the account. Don't ever do that in a game I'm running.

He didn't but that's ok. He'll learn his lesson soon enough assuming he lives through the next little bit. After that he'll stand trial for murder, assault with a deadly weapon, etc... Just because you're a wannabe hero doesn't give you the authority to kill anyone who threatens you. Usually you're expected to bring them in alive to answer for their crimes. Death is a last resort.

Kinda sucks being a hero doesn't it? Villians have no such qualms or restraints...

We usually don't, no. But Avatar just became Argent's first murder victim. Kinda sucks when an Empath feels someone die. Drives them a little batty.

Hehehe, I remember when I got a warning from you just for putting in my post that an attack was anything more than an attempt.

To be somewhat fair they don't have that restraint unless they get caught.

It's gonna be a bit harder than that... (I hope)

I do apologize, I had intended merely to make her cough up blood and lose concentration. Not kill her or take her out of combat completely. Her exact reaction to coughing up blood I was going to leave to B4.

(Not that she would have been able to forgue medical attention. But she IS a superhero...)

Dude, you crushed her Lungs! Then you had a swarm of bees sting her repeatedly. Even if she wasn't allergic to bees (which would be nasty), that's still going to kill her just from the buggers stinging insider her mouth and throat, making it swell shut and choke her to death.

So, driving Avatar mad with emotions to where he's beserking and attacking everything in his way is just a small vengence. If he has to be shot like a rabid dog to stop him, all the better. He Killed First.

And Ben, honestly, what the hell did you think was going to happen when you remove the most essential part of a person's respitory system? You released nitrogen into her blood, you ruptured her lungs, caused internal hemoraging, etc. That by itself would kill people. Then you had bees stinging her throat shut cutting off any chance of breathing or getting any of the fluid out of her lungs. Congradulations, if she didn't die from the blood loss via hemoraging or asphyixation she'd die from drowning.

And considering the effect that you went for you could honestly be seen as having premeditated it. Especially given that she never attacked you so you can't even claim self-defense. Assault with a deadly weapon, assault and battery, conspiricy to commit murder, 1st degree murder, etc. And considering the use of metahuman powers in the process you'll be guarenteed to be put away for a long time at Gramercy or Station Zero with a buttload of power inhibitors.

Question: Given that the victum was a meta engaged in violent behavior couldn't Avatar claim he was acting in a manner to protect himself and others from becoming the target of her assualt already in progress?

Example: A bank robber steps out of a building and opens up on a crowd. A police officer arrives and fires upon the robber killing him. At no time did the officer come under fire himself, however he had reason to believe he would have come under fire given the recent behavior of the robber.

The nitrogen would not have been in sufficient concentrations to cause anything other than amazing amounts of pain for one.
I will conceede that the effect was lethal. But what the hell B4? Are we using the UN rules of engagement?

She didnt have to attack me, she was engaged in a potentially lethal attack on civilians, and was a threat to anyone in the vicinity from the smoke and heat from the damn park burning. Thatfire would ahve spread to the city at large were she not taken down. And ANY police force human or metahuman in the world that was not under the control of the united nations would have filled her full of lead.

Now, I can and will submit to needing to be hospitalized assuming I survive because of my error. That would make sense in-game

But to toss my character in prison makes no sense whatsoever. Unless the entire world has become so pussified that we arent allowed to defend other people.

Superman defends people all the time, without killing or using deadly force.
