Aziz drained 2 blood points from the reveler, for a total of 3 gained (thanks to Efficient Digestion).

Not going to be replying to your arrival at court yet Rhoenix, mainly because it's gonna take you awhile to get from where you are to Karaja's home, then to hunt, then to make it all the way back to court. In that time others will have the opportunity to do things.
On that note.

No worries - I wasn't sure what else he should be doing anyway.Charon wrote:Not going to be replying to your arrival at court yet Rhoenix, mainly because it's gonna take you awhile to get from where you are to Karaja's home, then to hunt, then to make it all the way back to court. OOC, we all left before Throkell came out of Frenzy, so they might have burned/buried the body.
OOC, Throkell's pauses may have just been him putting it into a way non-Northerners would understand.
IC, Lydia saw a waste of a good warrior and someone that could have been an asset to the City as well as to herself. It pissed her off. It also hit her in the Path, which pissed her off more. Then Vannius taunted her to 'do something about it', which is always a great way to get a Brujah riled up.
So... Brujah Explosion, gone off half-cocked.

Hello all, I'm in the process of making a character. I'm playing a malk, I know Silences love of them and I hope he enjoys the character as much as I've enjoyed the malks he has played.
I have a more than fair amount of experience in WoD but I will admit little Dark Ages play in any game setting.

Ok...
I've been patient.
But Jesus Christ people we have FOUR PC's in there and I can only get one to post. If I don't see more posts, they can even simply be reaction posts, or whispering to an NPC or whatever, I'm going to start delving into the Cynical Cat School of Getting Players to Post.

Lydia's going to have a LOT of fun teaching the Norse Courtly ways.
I forsee much butting of heads and honor, since Lydia's path demands her try her best to fulfill her LeigeLord's order, and the Norse are pretty much holding onto what's left of their culture.

For those not in the know, the Levant is vaguely the lands on the Eastern shore of the Mediterranean.
And now you know... the rest of the story.

You can make money trading silver for gold in the Levant and then coming back and trading gold for silver in Europe.Charon wrote:For those not in the know, the Levant is vaguely the lands on the Eastern shore of the Mediterranean.

Syria, Israel, Palestine .... That's where modern "Levant" would be. From the Turkish border down to Sinai
you know, where the Crusaders went to fight the Muslims.

His compulsion derangement should be detailed with the Storyteller, but that may already be the case.

Well... unless Rheonix or CT post tonight about whether to follow the Seneschal and see why he panicked, I think we should time skip to the next night.

For sake of encounters with other players, Lydia is out walking with a single lantern-bearer. Her plan is to meet with Virgil, the seneschal at his house. If not there, she will most likely have to go to the Prince's residence and see if he is there. Either way, she's there for RP.
And for those who may not know what she's wearing, this site has the basics, although the section on stola speaks of the original garment, not the fitted version that shows up in the 10th century and is worn from then on. At this point in time, the dalmatica and stola are essentially the same cut, with the stola shorter at the hem and with belled sleeves to show off the dalmatica's embroidered sleeves underneath.

Just a note for you Tev. Animals don't like Vampires generally, so the ferrets don't usually let Lydia pet them or interact with them often (well, unless you've ghouled them). But they could of course be for show and for the servants.

I'll admit this post was more to show off my knowledge, both of what could be found in the house of a wealthy individual, and of Byzantium dress. Still, I'm sure no Lady wishes to have rats in her house, so the ferrets do have their uses, even if Lydia can't hold and pet them.

I think I see his O/C Complex now. That's just amusing.
I fear for him when he sees the gaudily patterns of Lydia's garments. Brocade in linen, light wool, or Egyptian cotton. Silk embroidery, some of it large strips woven into the fabric, with stylized Greco-Roman and Arabic designs. Large round or square patches with scenes of animals, saints, gods, or just humans have a good time. Gold and silver coins, sequins, filigrees, or mirror-polished. Pearls of all sizes, either singly, grouped, or strings sewn to accent the trims and patchs. Semi-precious stones in cabocons or just chips, sewn onto the patchs and trims as well, perhaps to give sparkle to Bacchus' wine as it pours out.
And that's just on ONE GOWN.
(The Byzantines were Obscenely into Decoration.)
