See, this is why I didn't want to find them. I wanted to give them time to build up to be a threat, where we could go take them out as a team, and have a nice explosive end to things.
So, yes, I was trying to OOC things with DS and B4 so I couldnt' find them. The parts about Argent not being able to catch up with them was true -- she cant' fly 200mph. The whole fuss about not emerging is also a true limit.. she was focusing on GHOST, not the area around him. He could have been flying around MC and she couldn't catch him or know that was his location.
But, as Nitram let me know pointedly, OOC manip is no way to fight OOC manip. Let the GM handle it.
So, we get this charming little scene with Argent and Sentinel. Enjoy.

What was wrong with appearing in a desert shadow and then coming home and saying "yeah, that was Ghost, he was flying and I lost him?" That would have worked fine. That was what I was aiming for, since Fisher was out of town.

Empathy is only one of her powers. She'll never detect the emotional whirlwind centered around her.
Wait.
What whirlwind?
There's Ghost, and Saibot. And Saibot, as we have already explained for what....two chapters now? Is a complete and utter blank to her. She CAN'T read him! He's a big black spot to her.
Ghost and Saibot worked out what was to be said should Argent decide to come to Ghost for a visit while their around each other. Along with the cover story.

"Then again, Detective....how often have you dreamed of hearing your father's voice once more? Of feeling your mother's touch?" - Ra's Al Ghul
"According to the Bible, IHVH created the Universe in six days....he obviously didn't know what he was doing." - Darek Steele bani Order of Hermes.
DS's Golden Rule: I am not a bigot, I hate everyone equally. | corollary: Some are more equal than others.
To explain why Argent can't read Saibot anymore, I'm going to tell you a story about a co-worker of mine.
She was moving her computer, and needed to unplug the monitor from the back. She, having very little computer experience, simply pulled on the plug until it came out... never knowing that she was supposed UNSCREW the plug first. Then, she wondered why the monitor didn't work when she reinserted the plug.
So, when Saibot went nuts, he pulled the plug completely off Argent's motherboard. There's no more connection, and will never be any connection ever again, unless you can find someone to heal the metaphysical damage to her.

Lack of a signal is still information. If she picks up things from random people around her, she SHOULD be able to sense something from Saibot normally. If the damage is as bad as you're saying, there should be a noticeable lack of signal, which is saying something as is. The only two options are 1. Robots or 2. Saibot.

Shes got a link to Ghost, which might be why she's hearing him. She can't hear Tachyon, remember. That shroud around his mind blocks all but the strongest impulses from reaching her. So, psi-block is very likely.

And a psi shield would stop her from hearing Ghost. Again, it doesn't make sense that only one of them is shielded.

To her, it does. She's linked to Ghost, thus she can hear Ghost. If you want to push this, we'll get B4 to make a call.
Your empathy isn't omnipotent. A strong enough shield can stop it. I have no interest in pushing it. That Argent can read someone she's linked to easier than others makes perfect sense. There's no way Argent getting no sense of shields off Ghost and nothing from Saibot isn't going to be suspicious to Blackheart. That is my call.

five bucks Two minutes before Argent teleports them to the hidden base in the desert and I'm a smeer on the wall because I'm going to defend my "home"....
Also, Ghost said he was approached, not that his bosses told him to transfer. But this is more easily chalked up to Argent misunderstanding.

Yah, the killings and the meta killings and the prison break with more deaths have nothing to do with this situation at all.

According to the backstory, those were Saibot's before he joined the Guardian Force, so how exactly could they stop him from walking out with his property even if they were government?

Does Blackheart know that? No, he doesn't. All he knows is that GF existed and folded and had weapons like that and the government doesn't let its retired agents take million or billion dollar unique weapons home with them.

Other than RCE, which we've managed to stop ... What *WAS* the Long Term Goal?!?
The agents who strolled into Ultima, did whatever they wanted, stole shit, got away, and threatened to blow up city blocks when caught? The guys who seemed to be some kind of disposable vat jobs and possibly bought from RCE?
Those guys. Who have lots of US gov access.
