This being the World of Darkness, I feel that I'm fairly safe making the assumption that campus security is even more useless than in the real world.
It's not that I'm unforgiving, it's that most of the people who wrong me are unrepentant assholes.

Of course. The only time the cops are useful is when there's a person playing one.

Have you ever dealt with campus security in real life? They make the Springfield cops in the Simpsons look like the detectives from Law & Order.Rogue 9 wrote:Of course. The only time the cops are useful is when there's a person playing one.

Yes, I have, though my university had a fully fledged police force rather than rent-a-cops, so it wasn't quite so bad.

Mine had an RCMP detachment located on the grounds as well so there were real cops as well as useless doughnut eaters on campus.Rogue 9 wrote:Yes, I have, though my university had a fully fledged police force rather than rent-a-cops, so it wasn't quite so bad.

Here, it's grad students from the Law Enforcement classes. At Berea, part of the 'free tuition' requirements is having a job. What better way than this?
Since no one asked Galileo for Prof. Childe's number, either Sophie or Arianne can get it from the campus directory online.

I had a standing rule in games I GMed...
Anyone who ever referred to the term "build" when referencing their character in a game I was running immediately had an orbital giant space cow dropped on their head.
The cow would then get up, walk over to the nearest convenient spot, and begin to eat grass.

Gaze upon my works, ye mighty, and despair...

Hotfoot: "Yes, which is reasonable."

I'm not a fan of people using the term to describe their characters either, especially in Vampire, but honesty compels me to acknowledge that one could duplicate the Silver Death's Lupine killing methods with a starting character.General Havoc wrote:I had a standing rule in games I GMed...

btw, in case it hasn't been mentioned, Ari's major is criminal justice. That's one reason she knows all the guys in campus security. And even if the city police are there, there's an even chance they know Ari, at least by reputation. She can be a real ball-buster in more ways than one.
It's not really a city, anyway, more like a large town, so the police force isn't that big.

Yes, Sophie, you see the torn-up ground too, and it looks like a scrape of grass/mud across the road, as if something fled away from the building.

Sees Faces sees what Sophie did -- the scrape of mud/grass that seems to be someone/thing fleeing the building.
Arianne saw the cops and the torn-up ground.
