I've done my two back to back shots and skiddaddle so I'll be out of the mix for a bit. Time for everyone else to kick ass and take names.
It's not that I'm unforgiving, it's that most of the people who wrong me are unrepentant assholes.

fact:lots of varren around us
fact:being surrounded is bad
advantage: being inside a building would help us
So when and if you guys get to Junko my idea is to have Junko raise comms and try to talk to someone inside to get them to open up while we hack the door at the same time, since we are outnumbered outside and the blood pack are not inside we dont have to breach.
so we hold the north door and get in the varren will get us if we stay outside we need to funnel the enemy so being inside helps and lets us get the hostages safe
thats my general idea

I have been dealing action-by-action so far, which is unfair due to leaving others behind, and scrabbling to catch up. So - once everyone's posted their next action (Sabre, frigidmagi, CynCat, Soleimon, Havoc, JD, Nitram, and Haven have already taken theirs), I'll reply as a block post as results.
My apologies for confusion.
EDIT: Sol and Havoc have posted
EDIT2: JD, Nitram, and Haven posted

I was gonna mention that we might be able to take out the advance scouts quietly and maybe get our Engineers to hack their comms, send an all clear through Tallos to make em think it was all clear in that sector.
Buuut, we'd kinda already moved to attacking so it's cool haha.

Sorry for the delay, been out of it the past few days. Not taking an action this go-round, since I haven't been around to get myself into action and such, that'd be cheap. I figured Iona would be up with the recon group as discussed, but hanging back since I wasn't actually paying enough attention.

Iona would have gone around the opposite side of the facility as Junko, and since Junko began circling around because her way back was cut off, the two of them are probably close to meeting.

And with the two NPC's acting, that now just leaves Cipriani and Maraka. Marcao, Fisher, you guys are up.

I should mention for the record, since a couple people have stated the use of incendiary rounds - if you don't have the Ammo Expert skill, you don't have Concussive Shot, and you don't have any other ammo types except for normal.

Ok - everyone has received a response except for Sabre, who's on overwatch at the back entrance of the facility. Maraka and Cipriani have been skipped for this round.
New round begins now.
EDIT: Fisher, Sabre, Sol, and Havoc have posted for the new round, now waiting on the rest.
JD, your action for the round will have to be "regaining consciousness," but you'll be able to move now, and act as normal next round.

I strongly urge you to reconsider this. We're talk about ammo you load into a gun. Requiring a special skill for to load a mag with a yellow band instead of a red one is silly.rhoenix wrote:I should mention for the record, since a couple people have stated the use of incendiary rounds - if you don't have the Ammo Expert skill, you don't have Concussive Shot, and you don't have any other ammo types except for normal.

That's a fair point - I made the decision I did on this skill regarding ammo types as an artificial restriction, since otherwise I'd easily see everyone packing polonium ammo.Cynical Cat wrote:I strongly urge you to reconsider this. If you or anyone else has a counterproposal that takes game balance into account, I'm willing to reconsider how Ammo Expert and use of special ammo types would work in-game.

Game balance isn't an issue. We're a Spectre team so access to high quality gear goes without saying. Specialty ammo isn't magic. It comes with trade offs. Yeah it isn't well balanced in the first game, but we aren't playing Mass Effect 1. We're playing a game set in the Mass Effect universe. Load your SMG with toxic or incendiary ammo and shoot a guy in heavy armour and you might end up cratering his armour and doing jack to your target when Armour Piercing would have put a hurt on him. Phase rounds might help your slow firing gun deal with shields, which is an asset if its big enough to punch through most armour. If the shields or armour stop the bullet, then it doesn't matter how lethal the round is.
Also, Pollonium poisoning takes too fucking long to kill anyone to use in a gun fight unless you really want them dead three months from now.

All of these are fair points, actually. The only restriction necessary in this case would be requiring a player to state at the beginning of a mission what ammo type they've brought with them for what gun - or, to be lazy, just list it as standard loadout on one's character sheet.Cynical Cat wrote:Game balance isn't an issue. In that case, consider this request granted. I will alter the rules post accordingly.
So, the following changes will be made to the rules for skills:
1. Ammo Expert will be removed, and players who chose it may select a different skill (this means Marcao). Any player may specify what ammo type is used per gun at the beginning of the mission, or specify an ammo type as "standard loadout" for a given gun on their character sheet.
2. Heavy Weapons will be changed to a Soldier-only skill, both to keep the Soldier at 4 skills, and because I don't see classes being offered for rocket launchers at one's local gun store.

And on a more immediate note, Team Five has taken care of one krogan and four vorcha so far. There is one fireteam remaining.

Just let me know if something visibly screws the pooch on the sneak-run towards the target. To be able to write the rest, I had to more or less assume that'd work, but if not, I'll rewrite.

Fisher, Sabre, Sol, Havoc, Haven, Nitram, JD, Frigid, and CynCat have posted for this round.
We're just waiting on Marcao (and I'll give him more time, since the rules change affected just him) now before the results for this round are posted.
EDIT: Updated list x3

I will be posting tonight. I had a post basically written when the rules shift changed and it stopped making sense. I am throwing something together now.
