I've finally decided upon an anima banner Motif for Kolth. It is...perfect.
His anima banner will be a ferret. And yes, I'm fully aware of the confusion this could cause amongst Lunars.

So you are going to run with it? I hope that Yvela is there when that anima banner flares up for the first time in game.

Yes, yes I am. I look forward to how this plays out, since it has me chuckling already.Marcao wrote:So you are going to run with it? I hope that Yvela is there when that anima banner flares up for the first time in game.

Just a note, I am still in the process of tweaking the Aurora. I have written a change log near the bottom of the pge 7 write up, detailing some of the changes and the reasoning behind it. Currently, I am up to version 1.2 I am optimistic that after I scour the WoTLA a couple more times and a couple of other exalted books a few times, I will have the final version up.

I'm mulling over the concept of joining this game, and as of right now I have three concepts I'm looking at:
1. Eclipse Caste
2. Lunar (Linked to Marcao's character for extra fun)
3. Abyssal (Would require a Lunar link)
#3 is pretty much right out unless I can get someone else to play my Lunar, so that's not really a concern. #2 would be a bit of a lark, but I think I owe Alan some pain. #1 is the most firm concept in my mind, but I have a lot more research to do before I'd feel comfortable making a character. One thing I was curious about: When it comes to Virtues, do you have to take a flaw for any virtue at 3 or above, or just for one? What little I've read makes me think I'd have to get two flaws if I wanted two traits at 3, but I'm not 100% sure.

No. Select one of your highest virtues above 3 and you get one flaw pertaining to that virtue. If another virtue is raised above your flawed virtue, that new virtue becomes your flawed virtue and you change your virtue flaw.
#3 is right out, #1 and #2 are ok.

Hey Guys:
I am going to be going to a convention until at least friday, maybe saturday and as such I may have difficulties posting. Since the game is moving at a glacial rate anyway, it may not be too much of an issue. I will miss you guys and I will do what I can to keep track of the game.

Here you go. Apologies for taking so long.
@Lady Tevar: I assumed you would want to eavesdrop on the briefing. If you wish otherwise, I can try describing you rummaging through one of the few luxury shops of Looksy, but it would stretch my meager talents and not do justice to the ecstasy of shopping that many if not all females seem to experience (I happen to have a girlfriend just like that...).

She'll save that for when she's secured control of Orduin's purse. For now, Spycraft! The Nomad wrote:@Lady Tevar: I assumed you would want to eavesdrop on the briefing. Oh, there have been a lot of tales about various black ships. This one in particular, however, is way too recent. Only because of the information network of the Intelligence Directorate has Lookshy been able to realize something smelled fishy in less than a year (the Confederation of Rivers is huge, and communications are somewhat limited). If Teamhair has spent some time at a gathering with fellow Lunars in the past six months, she might have heard something.

The poor merchant will only miss his moneyThe Nomad wrote:BTW: You'll have to convince Tanner to let you go. Good luck with that , the poor merchant will be heartbroken
But I'm sure having Kolth or Orduin coming to 'help me relocate' will convince him, especially if Kolth is there to imply my new employer is 'highly regarded within the city'.
I'm sure Kolth could say things about Orduin with a straight face that would make him sound like the head of Intelligence or something higher, and far richer than a 'mere' merchant.

Sadly enough, Kolth is a terrible liar. Bad for a Night caste, maybe, but it fits him.
Implying that an angry someone in fully-active Gunzosha armor might want to have a long, heart-to-heart "talk" with him in a nearby back alley if he doesn't let Teamhair go isn't a lie, though - its a warning.
There is another solution I'm sure Kolth would think of, but it's much less simple, and requires more preparation and possible property damage - it'd be his second option.

Orduin can, at any time, become seven feet of powered armour and a sword the size of a Nodachi or Claymore.
I think we'll convince him.

Make sure that Orduin, in the deep booming voice of the armor, tells the guy that he wants to sit down and talk about how he feels unappreciated and a little fat today - and may just need a hug.SirNitram wrote:Orduin can, at any time, become seven feet of powered armour and a sword the size of a Nodachi or Claymore.
No, the sword's a part of the armor, and you can't set it down for the hug. Sorry.

The art of a good lie is how to spin the truth.
"A gentleman well-placed within the city saw her out walking and found her instantly enchanting. He has determined she should should be in his house, and the lady has found his offer acceptable. Is this a problem, Caravan Master?"
The last touch is the best, pointing out the Merchant's status within the city. The rest is the sheer truth: Orduin is well-placed within the city's military, and he did see her out walking and was instantly enchanted.
And wanting her in bed is wanting her in his house.

Yeah, Kolth should start off doing that, and Orduin stomp up a minute later as an exclamation point, demanding to know why it hasn't been resolved yet.
...I also get the feeling this probably isn't the first time Kolth and Orduin have done this.

You are horribly mean people, the poor merchant was truly infatuated with Teamhair's, well, erm, curves no wait eyes, yes, those incredible, smoldering glances she can cast.
Anyway, I'm waiting for Marcao to put a comment in the weekend, then off to the River we go! From now on you'll be more free to decide your next course of action. Where will you sail, who will you contact or interrogate, etc.
