And he's a criminal who sells people's secrets. *sigh*
It's not that I'm unforgiving, it's that most of the people who wrong me are unrepentant assholes.

Yea. Something of an immediate strike out when your partners would be ex-spies, renegades, and someone on the terrorist watch list.Cynical Cat wrote:And he's a criminal who sells people's secrets. *sigh*

Yeah, I mean, Mirage Team liked Ghost, but they left him behind cause they thought he would sell them out.

Sorry, couldn't resist.
On a seperate note; seriously Bloodygood, where do you come up with these things? Have you not figured out by now through the thinly veiled cynicism and disdain that most of the others have expressed at most of your character ideas that you've yet to peg down the idea of the game? You've played religious terrorists, half-insane uber-powerful spartans and now the biggest security leak since the AF sent classified and top secret information on troop movements, presidential flight plans, secruity codes and procedures along with other classified shit to mildenhall.com because they couldn't be arsed to type in .af.mil at the end of it and outlook is configured to directly send unfinished addresses to .com.
Now, that aside, another teleporter, bringing the group to 4. Your character is a redundent concept that's redundent to like the 3rd degree considering the others. Seriously. You *might*(read: should and will) rethink this whole thing and maybe heed the words of some of the others when they point you in the direction "more hero-like" and "less fucking assclown-ish"

I think there's a special hell for that.

My character's a hero in the rough. Which means he might talk shit to the people he saves at first, but that's about it.frigidmagi wrote:Would it kill y'all to play honest to God heroes?
Also, while we're on he subject of Glitter Boys (& power armor in general) I want slimline power armor with an energy cannon of some sort. That would be hot.
EDIT: Just because I know how B4's mind works - I'd like my character to also be able to take the suit off without harm.

Heroes in the rough would be Blackheart, whose loyalty is absolute to the team. Gravitas, whose tragically flawed by his insanity and inability to hold back.rhoenix wrote:My character's a hero in the rough. He's not really a teleporter. He can hide out somewhere that isn't here, but he's still leaving Null Space more or less where he entered it. I mean, Hotfoot's power is better suited to travel than this is. And there's already plenty of blasters (Blast, Tach, Blackheart once his eyes are healed), a support character (Tev), one almighty awesome brawler (B.H. again), and a kind of Hammer of God (Grav). Not really sure where Hotfoot fits into my list, but he's there somewhere. A purely offensive power would get completely buried under the existing pile of kill-em-all powers, and a purely support or defensive character would be underpowered to the point of being next to useless.
The only other power I can think of at the moment that wouldn't completely and totally suck would be to play a Monster Maker. Kind of taking the Mental Construct facet of Null Space and turning it into its own power. I can think up more, but it'll take me a while.
....
Actually, that's not half bad. Mental Construct as a power sound acceptable? Gives him some more beat-down potential while still being different enough from everyone else's powers, and I promise not to go all Green Lantern with giant boxing gloves and crap.
I'm willing to concede the point on character history. I'm not dead set on any background yet, and I was trying to write one that would mesh reasonably well with Argent's. If I change the power, the smuggler aspect won't work anymore, and I'm willing to drop corporate crime altogether. Takes me back the problem of introductions, though. A flat-out hero doesn't have a lot of ways in with the group, unless they subvert an Ultima agent or recruit a random vigilante.

... OR we find you at OmniCorp.
Mental Construct like a Lantern would work well, especially since Argent's limited to tendrils, tentacles, and other simple shapes with her shadows. Someone who can make more detailed/specialized constucts would be useful

Hotfoot is an energy brawler, though that hasn't been really utilized to its full potential. At the time, Legacies was a pure KE/Toughness Brawler, and I didn't want to horn in on his territory, so I went with the death of a thousand cuts routine.
Of course, super-speed is in itself an extremely versatile power if you've got someone with a keen enough mind behind it.

*sigh* I typed that wrong. I meant to say that he's very smart for his age. I blame work for the typos.
Still, a high-speed gymnast is a dangerous foe - you never know which way Hotfoot will bounce to hit you from.

Its odd - my posts in this game so far are longer than in most other games. Eh, no matter. I finally finished the post I began working on last night before I needed to pass out.

I've never seen Dr. Who, sadly enough - I'm imagining them as a cross between the "processed" soldiers from Quake 2, and the Borg.LadyTevar wrote:rheonix, when you mention the lockstep, I keep hearing the metallic 'stompstompstomp' of Cybermen marching.
Listening to the song Descent Into Cerberon on repeat helps, I think.
