 I guess it depends on how much rambling the psykers do, the crazy is strong with them.

Hopefully my crazy does not block my intelligence, even if I am comparing card layouts to ambush sites.

Stranger things have happened in 40K.

As to fgalkins in game question, I'll make up a map to show you.

I'd like to spend a few minutes using my evaluate skill on the idol, if possible. How do we go about doing that? (dice rolls, yay!)

Thanks! Could you also number the attacks in order they occurred?

Can we also the distances involved between the attacks- are they all 5 days' travel from each other? Basically, I'll try to determine the path of these mutants based on the pattern of the attacks, hopefully either finding the site of the next attack, or their home base.

Have a very nice day.

I'm thinking of either a psyker, simply because warp phenomena and perils of the warp are the only reason to play such a character, or a redemptionist firebrand, possibly of noble born stock so that he can start with a chainsword. Which do you think would work better?

Also, having gone through the SDN Dark Heresy bit, you may wish to check everyone's 40k knowledge first. Hotfoot can tell you all about that one...
I've heard horror stories from Hotfoot about that. Now, I've decided to see for myself....holy shit.

It's a wonder how some of the people in that thread manage to get through the day without accidentally offing themselves, they put so little thought into things.

If anyone is curious, here is the thread.

Have a very nice day.

Well evaluate is only used to determine the value of an object. Are you thinking of Forbidden Lore (Cults)?

I'll give it a shot. ;) I'll have to beg folks patience though, it's 100% humidity here today so my wrists feel like their on fire (arthritis).

Perhaps I'm hoping to pawn it and get us all executed for dealing in heretical artifacts in exchange for a fraction of a throne.

Seriously though, I meant Trade(scrimshawer) but it sounds like there's nothing to be gained by examining it as a mundane object. Unless I could examine it and possibly later confirm if another idol is made by the same guy.

That sounds like a decent idea. To the rulebook!

The map.

Any resemblance to a RL area is purely coincidence I assure you. :zaia:

And they are either thinking with portals or they have excellent communication systems to be able to coordinate attacks across such a widely distributed area such that they occur every five days.

It's almost a figure eight.

Ok.. they were seen by the Enclaves 5 days after the attacks... so maybe we're getting a little confused by the distance between attacks.

Attack #1
5 days later appear at one of the two center enclaves.
5 days later attack #2?
5 days later...?

For those that aren't all that familiar with WH40K or the Guard, this is a Trojan:

and this is the trailer:

Just as a side note, it has no heavy bolter and it's been modified in various ways.

Are they like the more famous vehicles of the Imperial Guard, able to run on whatever fuel the locals have available?

And I'm not saying this aloud yet.. but what if the Muties have outside help.

Yup, multi-fuel engines. He'll have most of the vehicles sides loaded down with jerry cans but it can run on wood if required.

Things might get hairy then.

OK, so anyone not used to "drops" should make an ordinary (+10) toughness test to ensure they don't lose their meal or crap themselves (your choice).

Just to make sure I've read the rules right, the target is 32 or under? (Tou of 22 + 10)
