I think he just wants to see Gravitas out of his biosuit, covered in those Binding Runes that Nit spoke about.

Pervert.

Hmm, a device that can grant powers. But still, a sad story.

I remember a comic from the 1970s/80s that was called "Dial H for Hero". Same idea, a device like a rotary phone dial held by a brother and sister. When H-E-R-O was dialed, they would assume the form/powers of a different hero each time.

One of the fun things: after the first few issues, the heros were all fan-creations. The comic asked you to send in hero ideas for future use, and when those heros appeared a little text box right in the panel said the name and age of the contributor.

Still... it makes me wonder why you posted this, B4. Is it part of the story... or was there another reason?

Actually I was reading through old Dial-H issues and figured why the hell not show more to the world then having to fight the latest bank robber every chapter or so?

True storyline wise it isn't that crucial to any sort of plot development, more fluff then anything really. Just to show that there's more to the world and that no matter what we'd all like to think, not everyone is a hero...

Listening to Shinedown's Heroes got me really depressed with the chorus....
All my heroes have now become ghosts
Sold their sorrow to the ones who paid the most
All my heroes are dead and gone
But they're inside of me, they still live on

The device might be used later, remember in Dial H a couple of people dialed V-I-L-L-I-A-N

Such little diversions can be good. I keep considering putting up 'excerpts' from Gravitas' book, because it'd serve to both flesh out his viewpoints and also to illuminate the ways the world changes beyond crime and heroics.

CynCat, I know that Blackheart would recognize the name ZuFu. As I mentioned, ZuFu is a suspected leader of the Chinese gangs/mafia in Little Asia.

Might explain the nice dress, tho. That Chinese restuarant ZuFu owns is very nice.

For the record and for future reference...

If a player wishes to introduce any sort of serious side story that involves the development of additional powers or abilities, significant backstory, kidnapping and attempted killing of said characters or anything that might remotely interfere or conflict with the GMs plans or outlines, one should probably take the prudent move and at least have the common decency and courtesy to inform the GM prior to this.

Otherwise when your plans, actions or side stories interfere with the GMs overall story plans and ideas yours will suffer as a result. And by suffer the GM means to say that things will end on such a bad note that victims of the concenration camps of world war two shall appear to have been treated to a club MED vacation in comparison to the things done to you and your characters and plans.

This is not to say that I don't welcome additional story ideas or interests, merely that for future reference it would behoove one to at least run it by the GM prior to implementing these plans. Or ask permission perhaps. Or kindly inform the GM at all when one desides to get a wild angsty hair up ones ass and run with it.

Has the GM made oneself abundently clear on the issues at hand concerning said use and implementation of any further non-GM sanctioned story arcs, backstories, ideas and plans? The GM hopes so.

The GM thanks you for your time and attention and now returns you to your regularly scheduled torture already in progress...

Yes, Argent has a New Costume. While I'd love to have something made by Edna of The Incredibles ("Flameproof, bulletproof... he'll look marvelous in it, dahling"), this one is more like Batman's costume: resistant yet flexible.

So, it looks like the one below... without the tassels on the sides, and stylized dragons on the silver buckle/clasp on front of the dress. The decorative ovals on the sleeves remain unchanged.

I've got some bad news. I'm heading home because school is done, and there is no internet at home at the moment. So I'll be gone for awhile. Maybe a week, maybe more. Sorry.

I love dark superheroes like Batman, Moonnight, Spawn, and the such... But teams are neat just because you can get some fantastic combinations. City of Villains is a great place to just make charecters so Im big into supers now =)

Here are some of my happy bank robbers and kidnappers =)

Image

The bottom one is made by a friend though =) Kinda lo res...

And didnt notice how long the thread was, new poster to the forum so still exploring... ^.^;

I was discussing this with a number of people recently and thought I would post it. It's a likely way that two different groups (Department of Defense and CIA) would classify metahumans.

DoD: The Department of Defense measures power by the scale of effect the metahuman can have.

Tactical- Able to influence events on a battlefield or smaller level. Daredevil, Batman, Captain America. (note Batman and Captain America in a team have a much higher level of effect due to mental and leadership abilities).

Operational- Able to influence events on a theather wide scale. (Spiderman, The Thing, Jean Grey)

Strategic- Able to influence events on a worldwide scale. (Superman, Professor X)

CIA: Measures by the threat level of a metahuman to society and the US government.

Insigificent- local threat at best, easyly countered. (No names that get plastered at the beginning of a comic)

Mild- Local threat, countered at local level with difficulty. (Joker, Rhino)

Sigficent- requires access to state government level rescoures to contain and defeat. (Venom)

Severe- threat on a national level, requires federal resources to defeat. (Red Skull, Ruz Al Ghul, Lex Luthor, Carnage)

Cataphoric- World wide threat, requires everything and the kitchen sink, without metahuman aide may be able of conqearing nations single handedly. (General Zod, Magneto, Dr. Doom)

Thanks go to Hotfoot, B4, Nitram, and Darksilver for helping with this. Hell the CIA chart is mostly due to DS efforts.
