#1 Tritium Questions

Post by Ra »

Alright, I'm writing up some stuff for an original sci-fi universe.

Most fusion-type reactors in my universe, at least in the military, run on tritium, which is of course a radioactive hygrogen isotope made from lithium.

I figured that tritium would be easier to fuse than straight hygrogen and deuterium reactors, due to higher mass.

I just need some more technical advice, insight, and if there are any real dangers to a potential future "tritium economy". Am I wise for using tritium, or immensely foolish?

What advantages would TF provide? Would there be a higher power output compared to more conventional fusion theories?

BUMP!

What? None of you people have anything to say? I asked because I need some advice, not to hear myself talking.
