That's right - the mission is grabbing an asteroid from the asteroid belt, and dragging it back to Earth via unmanned probe, and then launching an Orion with people in it once the probe gets back near Earth orbit.

I think you left mere cynicism behind some 20 years ago, Master Bruce
but I don't see the current world (which for the moment means the US and possibly China, nobody else having the money even if they have the technology) spending that money for a project with not only so little immediate benefit but such a long timespan before it even bears the little fruit it was designed to.
