I was expecting to see a link to The Onion or something else like that when I saw the title. Wow. That's just a special crazy there. Extra special.

Okay I put my head down to do some work and shit like this happens?
I mean let me get this straight, 9 diesel subs and 24 fighter jets are gonna take out the entire RN? Tell me that he either has more or that the RN really did cut itself down that badly case otherwise I might hurt myself laughing.
Also Chavi, I kinda doubt you're gonna get Brazil or Colombia to sign on to any armies with you in charge of them.
One thing that worries me is how fucked are they gonna be when he finially hits the bottom of the oil profit barrel?

Doesn't the RN have only like five ships now?
The Argies and Chavez's boys might have a fool's hope of winning.
(Though with Argie Mirages being shot down by
Sea Harriers in the last war I doubt they'd fare well against the RAF's Eurofighters, assuming they could get them over there. If the situation got desperate enough I'm sure the CIA could... discretely loan a KC-135 or two for transit.)

I doubt discreet loaning would be an issue. Bush isn't Reagan, and Chavez isn't the Argentinian junta. There's no cold war alliance issues to get in the way of us sending a carrier battle group down there ourselves if someone actually gets frisky enough to try and pry the Falklands away from Britain.

Actually no. I went out and looked it up
The British Royal Navy has 3 aircraft carriers
Ark Royal
Illustrious
Invincible
8 destroyers
Exeter
Southampton
Nottingham
Liverpool
Manchester
Gloucester
Edinburgh
York
17 frigates
Argyll
Lancaster
Iron Duke
Monmouth
Montrose
Westminster
Northumberland
Richmond
Somerset
Sutherland
Kent
Portland
St Albans
Cornwall
Cumberland
Campbeltown
Chatham
13 submarines (none of them diesel)
Vanguard
Victorious
Vigilant
Vengeance
Superb
Sceptre
Trafalgar
Turbulent
Tireless
Torbay
Trenchant
Talent
Triumph
Note this does not list, Amphib ships, helicoptor carriers, mine ships or other support vessals.
See
here,
here, and
here.
In other words, no Chavi doesn't have a chance at victory, at least not yet. Course Navies are alot more expensive then say crates of AK-47s so you can have your boys and girls pretend they're an army.

I imagine about the same as the middle east, but with more fresh water.

I was being facetious with the "5 ships" comment FYI, but it's comforting that the RN still has a decent sized fleet.

I really like Chavez. Everytime I hear of one of his rants, I am reminded of the "Tourette's Syndrome" trait you can have your "El Presidente" take in Tropico.

It's slightly ironic considering he just signed a deal with Red Ken to provide fuel for London's buses for the next few years....
"Hypocrite? Is that a breed of hippo?"
