So far, rather fun. The graphics are slightly anime, which I can forgive since the graphics for most of the game are impressive. The gameplay is fun and fluid, and is more how I think an MMO should be - you can be in the same area as other players, and all work together to complete an event - then go your separate ways if you wish, or go onto the next.
Exploration is both fun and rewarding for each area, but the best part? When you go back to lower-level zones, your effective level is lowered as well, enabling you to easily help along lower-level characters in group quests, and still get your hands on loot appropriate for your level. This is a nice perk.
My character is currently a Norn Mesmer. "Giant in a miniskirt" jokes aside, going the DPS route with the Mesmer is just evil fun. Not as powerful per strike as, say, a Warrior, but a Mesmer has many options to control a battlefield effectively - and ways to rapidly excise a threat from it, especially when wielding a greatsword. Being a Norn allows my character to summon certain monsters (an ice worm is my current favorite), supplementing her phantasms in combat quite well.
