Turn based tactical RPG (in that there are stats and level ups.
Coming from the developers of Mordheim, which I only dabbled with but received middling reviews from most sources, so it could go either way. Hopefully, they learned from what didn't work in Mordheim and get it to work in Necromunda.
That said, a strict interpretation from the tabletop would be nice, but I wouldn't mind if it were modified somewhat for the purposes of playability on PC. We'll see what happens, but the success of XCOM's revival has shown that there is definitely a market for this style of game, so if nothing else if this doesn't work well, someone is likely to make a "spiritual" game in the same vein, like how Xenonauts was more to the feel of the original X-COM.
