Re: Star Trek: The Quadratic War

USS Samuel B. Roberts Badlands Silence filled the bridge, all eyes fixed on the main screen. They watched the explosion, watched the event that tore apart the fabric of space and time. The moments ticked by, Guisti ready to punch the controls to flee the rippling distortion. He guided them away fro...

Re: Star Trek: The Quadratic War

USS Samuel B. Roberts Badlands Jess Shepard felt her blood run cold. A Cube. Guisti was already taking the initiative, setting course away from Riskadh , trying to put distance between them and the Cube.. Shepard knew the odds against a Cube, especially with a task force scattered all over the badl...

Re: Star Trek: The Quadratic War

USS Samuel B. Roberts Bridge " Riskadh says they're part of the task force and request we form up with them." Lee said looking over at Shepard. The skipper nodded. "Ok then, you guys know the drill." She said. The sign of a well trained bridge crew, she didn't have to give the roder to Guisti to ad...

Re: Star Trek: The Quadratic War

USS Samuel B. Roberts Badlands There was much to be said about the wisdom of seat restraints on the bridge. It kept Shepard from ending up thrown ass over teakettle into the forward station. As it was, the bridge was filled with the pained groans of her crew, most having slammed their heads into the...

Re: Star Trek: The Quadratic War

The Samuel Roberts flew through space like a dancer as it ducked and wove, twisting around plasma columns and lashing at the intervening space with torpedoes from its aft launchers. The Sphere pursued at flank speed, ignoring the two phased torpedoes which contrived to hit it, swerving with less ve...

Re: Star Trek: The Quadratic War

The Sphere did not know what hit it. Caught completely off-guard by the suddenly-materializing vessel, the Sphere's shields bucked with a barrage of phaser strikes even as torpedoes sailed into it from a second Defiant-class ship that it had not expected to find, and had no way of knowing was not h...

Re: Star Trek: The Quadratic War

USS Samuel B. Roberts Badlands It was late. Or early. Or well, who the hell knew? All Shepard knew was it seemed like only a few minutes ago when she laid her head down and closed her eyes. The skipper of the Sammy B. let loose a few choice words, sounding quite like Senior Chief Sachs. She reached...

Re: Star Trek: The Quadratic War

Cause I really wanted to post, here's kind of an intro post to the Samuel B. Roberts USS Samuel B. Roberts Picket patrol Shepard yawned, rubbing her face, trying to spark up some more energy. She lifted her coffee mug, finding it empty. The burnette looked around the compact bridge. Even more compac...

Re: Star Trek: The Quadratic War

Would it make it better or worse that I banged that out in two hours last night after a night of drinking? Also, I just finished Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors, a great book about the Battle off Samar. So, it was a debate for either the Samuel B. Roberts, or the USS Johnston, the Destroyer that b...

Re: Star Trek: The Quadratic War

To be honest, not sure if I'll have enough time to play. I work 12 hour shifts on the weekends, so I might be only able post on the weekdays. But I submit the USS Sammy B Roberts, a mean little Defiant. I'm open to suggestions on the weakness though, not really sure if it works.

Did I see that right? Hornet isn't gonna be a hornet? he's gonna be a f-16?

I wish I still had time for RPGs, but working 12 hour shifts on a 4/3/3/4 rotation just doesn't leave time to keep up with the game. And I approve of cuddlebot.

Re: Mass Effect: Going Dark

Maraka closed the distance with the squad, his long turian legs easily propelling him over the distance. He worked as he moved, removing the half spent heat sink and placing it into a side pouch. He retrieved a fresh sink and loaded it, making sure his pistol was set as well. "I'm green." He said to...

Maraka closed the gap, reaching a range suitable to effectively engage their foes.

He steadied the rifle against his shoulder, sighted in and started squeezing off shots.

Re: Mass Effect: Going Dark

Maraka watched the Vorcha crumble, the hiss of steam and a blinking indicator flashed in his helmet, showing the heat sink was overheating. But that would have to wait as he saw the rocket screaming towards him. His arm came up, a barrier shimmering into place just as the rocket impacted. The warhea...

Re: Mass Effect: Going Dark

Maraka had hit the dirt alongside Lysander. As they met enemy contact, he kept his head low, swinging his assault rifle from foe to foe, semiautomatic fire zipping through the air towards them. A set of incoming hit his cover, forcing his head down, looking over at Lysander as the human popped up to...

Re: Mass Effect: Going Dark

Maraka shifted in his armor, making sure it was fully sealed, a black, tan and gray camo pattern painted on it. He entered the training room, heading to the shuttle. His pistol was in a holster on his thigh. The turian had long since disabled the collapsing feature on the semi-automatic M-4 Shuriken...
