Aigou slowly advances into the village, using as much cover as possible. It isn't even eerily quiet; there is the noise of birds, from within the high walls. Nature is very slowly reclaiming this enclave of humanity in the south of Ireland. The inside remains the same; the occasional patch of bullet...

The area around the truck is clear. No ravenous monsters or cunning Dagonite ambushes wait around it, as far as can be seen. Now that you get close enough to see the wheels on the right hand side, the side which it rolled onto, you can see that two of the wheels (and wheel mountings) are completely ...

And now the exams are over, which means I can get back to posting regularly.

Sorry about the sort of dead (well, not dead, as more eternal lying) status of the game; that should be remedied.

The overturned truck, now that you get closer, has a tight cluster of bullet holes, right through the windscreen in front of the driver. They continue through, into the seat, the dark red-brown of dried blood soaked into the padding. There's no body, though. Aiguo is the only one who notices the blo...

There is a conspicuous lack of return fire or ravening extra-dimensional monstrosities. Whether this is considered a good thing or not largely depends upon an individual's level of paranoia. However, the point is that the three infantry and the powered armour are the only large lifeforms about. That...

Henna stares at the map. "Both EWS-7W and EWS-6W are roughly equidistant, but 7W is right by the coast, so we'd have to run parallel to it, and if the Cork airbase is under attack, that's the first place they'd target. 6W it is, then. 30 odd kilometres, but we're going to have to keep below 45 kmph ...

Apologies for not posting; I had my first set of end of term tests at the start of this month, and then just sort of forgot about it in the aftermath. There will be another quiet time, as the second set of exams starts on the 8th of June, but I'll try to keep this going until about a week befo...

The early warning stations? Should I be thinking field recon posts or the trip wire bases in Germany set up during the Cold War? Huh... Let me explain. Field Recon Posts are gonna be a couple of guys and a sensor system. No real medical help. The trip wire bases were forward positions basically des...

Henna sucks in her breath. "Nearest non-compromised? Hmm." She brings up an Augmented Reality display . "We're the red point in the centre; the system flags know hostile actions in red. We're about equidistant from two different Early Warning Stations. They're sensor outposts," she explains to the n...

By no means. The closest base, well, I assembled this map in Google maps. It's really rather useful, you know, for making this kind of thing for RPG campaigns. Plus, it means I get to do more world building. And it's slightly worrying that I enjoy the world-building even more than I enjoy playing or...

With the death of the Dagonite scouting patrol, it would be best to vacate the area. This is promptly done, everyone piling into the Ranger IFV (although it is quite a cramped fit; with the addition of the stretchers for the injured and the powered armour, it's about as packed as your average arcolo...

True enough. I expected them all to die fairly quickly (because, as Academia Nut puts it, I did just put the equivalent of militiamen in jeeps with guns on the back (seriously, they were worse equipped than a NEG SWAT-equivalent team) against a proper IFV), just... not that quickly. I though I'd get...

Bertram (HF) uses a smoke grenade for cover. It's 50 m from the crash to the IFV, so to get it half way is range 25 Maximum range = S x 10 = 30 metres (I'd make a comment about how unusual it is for Strength to be the dump stat, but frankly that seems to be a running theme in Ctech, from other games...

Bertram lobs the smoke grenade as far as he can, an overarm toss that uses all the strength he can muster. The grenade flies in the right direction, although not as far as he would have liked, and begins venting forth its smoke; dirty white with an odd, slightly reflective hint to it from the metal ...

The driver of the technical freezes up, red eyes fixed on the hole running through her vehicles and the smeared mess that remains of two of her comrades. Shaking her head, the horrible sight before her remains real. She screams then, jerking the wheel hard to the right in an attempt to turn to flee....

The plasma ball flies out faster than the eye can see, a burning white shard of a newborn sun that only leaves an afterimage in the eye, so rapid is its path. Yeah, actually, that's a good point. I completely forgot about them; by Rules as Written, they're spent after the roll, too, so you can just retcon then in as having been spent, as I haven't put up an IC post yet.

So where do the concerned players want to spend theirs?
