I want some of these politicians to have to actually experiance life in the military under these ideas that they're coming up with. Not to see them suffer or get killed mind you , just to give them some perspective on the whole deal so they might have a clue in hell as to what they're doing or talk...

Maple Leaf Rag and Khatchaturian's Toccata are both sort of piano-memory songs for me. They remind me of the days when I enjoyed playing the piano more than anything else in the world, back when I was working hard at it and even thinking of going to music school. It gave me more of a sense of direct...

I'd sort of like to think I would, but if I got involved enough with someone to actually marry them, and we broke up, I think I would be bitter and uninterested in relationships for a very, very long time. I suppose a few years might be enough time to get over it if I got therapy for a while afterwa...

It reminds me of my cousin's wedding. Southern Baptists. They spent the entire thing talking about how it was going to be a three-way marriage between the two of them and Jesus. My brother and I were giving each other sideways glances and whispering, "Are they really talking about a threesome with ...

I love Pandora's way of analyzing music; they go a lot deeper than the well-known genres of music and break everything down into individual elements. I like to read the reasons that they give for playing a certain song: rhythmic piano, acoustic instrumentation, vocal harmonies, poetic lyrics. But th...

Nietzsche Family Circus
Nietzsche + Family Circus = hilarity
The best ones I've found so far:
...and there's no Santa Claus, either
Tragicomedy at its best
A theologian, age 4
Almost as boring as sitting in mass, no?
Damn you and your fairy stories!

Ace, the sex in American Gods wasn't kinky, it was scary . Anyway, I thought you deleted the picture of me that you took. I looked horrible in it. Great pictures of Neil and your book though. My friend Ki (a very awesome Neil Gaiman fangirl) is now jealous of you. Stofsk: Good anticipation. T...

Cynical Cat: I'm not really sure how you know who I am. B4UTRUST and Batman: I'm camera-phobic. Sorry. Although I recently allowed myself to be photographed with a guy participating in a beauty pageant for drag queens, and it's possible that the picture will be sufficiently entertaining for me to ge...

Who the hell takes pictures of panels, lectures, roleplaying and the mounds of RPG material on sale for inflated prices? Not me. NEIL GAIMAN was there. There is no valid reason for not taking pictures of Neil Gaiman. Sorry. Everybody knows that geek girls all wear glasses and are super-cute. *is ge...

I work with preschool-aged children during the summer, and I can't begin to describe how much it bothers me when my co-workers talk way down to them. My personal peeve is when other adults refer to a group of them as "boys and girls". I'm not sure why it annoys me, but it just reeks of condescension...

It seems to me that a friend would be a greatly superior choice, seeing that there is already an established connection of trust, familarity, and understanding. Am I wrong about that? Are these people just liars who use that as an excuse to dismiss candidates while the real reason is something enti...

LIFE IS PAIN Anyone who says otherwise is selling something! I'm not convinced that pain is automatically good because it's "part of who we are." True, I wouldn't be who I am without the pain I've endured; but I'm not sure that being who I am is a particularly extraordinary thing. I wouldn't let an...
