For the hell of it, I tried to start again as a Fire Godlike and got hit by a bug where the cutscene outside the ruins never triggers. That is literally gamebreaking, as I cannot advance further. So, yeah. Go Obsidian
Have a very nice day.

Re: Pillars of Eternity Backers' Beta Impressions
Aaaaand, the first bug reports are coming in http://kotaku.com/pillars-of-eternity-characters-crippled-by-ridiculous-i-1694367618 The relatively devastating bug, posted to Reddit by kiror yesterday, happens when a player tries to swap out a piece of equipment on a character with an item in their inv...

Re: Pillars of Eternity Backers' Beta Impressions
Played it for about 4 hours last night. The difference between the beta and the finished game is phenomenal. I haven't experienced a single bug in those 4 hours. Is it really still an Obsidian game if there are no bugs? The game plays like an improved and very beautiful version of Baldur's Gate, but...

Re: Who is your favorite superhero?
Judge Dredd.
Batman and Spiderman used to be my favorite as a kid (first one, then the other), and I still have a soft spot for them. But Dredd wins, hands down.
Have a very nice day.

Re: Pillars of Eternity Backers' Beta Impressions
Started another play-through, that one ended in ignominy, too. When I entered the dungeon, the game went into combat mode, preventing me from saving, leaving the area, or regenerating spells and health, and also looting corpses and containers. That last part is important because apparently, the game...

Re: Pillars of Eternity Backers' Beta Impressions
Fun fact, they tried to make dropping items from the inventory possible without horribly fucking up the game, but then they gave up. So, now, dropping things on the ground is impossible (this isn't that much of a problem because there is a deep inventory, which is only accessible in "safe" areas tha...

Known issues Obsidian is aware about, as per the Backers Beta Forum. Pathfinding - We are in the middle of revising the pathfinding system. In the Backer Beta at launch, you may see issues with characters jittering, getting stuck, getting "bottlenecked" between other characters, and overlapping thei...

After shelling out an amount of money that's downright embarrassing for a game, I now have early access to the Backer's Beta of Pillars of Eternity. https://scontent-b-fra.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xap1/v/t1.0-9/10312983_10100799500935774_919603290909504859_n.jpg?oh=7cc0baf16531e791dfa31105b6e4f253&oe=54...

Re: Ukraine: The Only Way to Peace
Well at least there's a variety of things being said in the Western Media, unlike in some... Oh, which one are those? Because I can show you plenty of Russian sources critical of the actions in Ukraine. It's not like a large number of Russia's public figures spoke out against it, or anything... I d...

Ukraine: The Only Way to Peace
Incredibly, someone in the West is actually saying reasonable things about Ukraine. That's definitely a first http://www.nybooks.com/blogs/nyrblog/2014/may/05/ukraine-only-way-to-peace/ As the first heavy fighting begins in eastern Ukraine, with an attempt by Ukrainian forces to retake the town of S...

Re: Robocop Trailer (2014) released
I don't know, focusing more on the dynamic of losing his humanity and how that affects not only himself, but his family, could be very good. His loving wife and child are pretty much swept under the rug in the original, and while they attempt to make some connection in the later movies and TV shows...

Uh guys? Young Earth Creationism is only the silliest brand of creationism, but hardly the only one. Pat Robertson didn't challenge creationism, he's still very much a creationist, just an Old Earth one.

Bloomberg is the richest man in New York, who financed his campaigns out of his own money, to avoid spending caps (I believe he spent over $100 million on the last one).
