Optical wired.

I'd actually be more interested in how many people prefer wired over wireless.

Randomly pick a third season episode, and odds are you've hit a stinker.

Re: What happen when 3D technology reaches stagnation?

Imagine if every games has Doom3 graphic, or HL2 graphic, and the graphic tech doesn't advance further (at least not much) due to stagnation. Then every games will look the same, and 3D graphic will be something more like commodity . Then games will need something as differentiating point. I guess ...

What the christ. I rinse my hands, thoroughly dry them, put on my anti-static wrist-band, conscientiously clear off accumulated dust with some canned air whenever I work on my computer, and try not to leave my computer open longer than is necessary. And "your friend" just jacks off willy-nilly with ...

So... do they actually make water-cooled computers (as in, are they built by a company and sold), or are all of them these ridiculous DIY jobs? I'm asking because, if they are sold, I might consider getting one for my next computer, in a year or two. There are much cheaper and safer alternatives to...

There's still other possibilities. It could be some sort of "mind-virus" where Six is like an alternate personality running along the same neurons. It could be that the brain-chip isn't a single large detectable chip, but millions of microscopic processors forming a neural net throughout his skull. ...

Re: Yesterday's Enterprise on Spike

I am currently watching Yesterday's Enterprise, perhaps one of the BEST TNG Episodes ever. From the militarized Starfleet and E-D (the D's bridge design in here was excellent I found), to Picard jumping the tactical station and taking command of the weapons directly... Honestly, I can't bring mysel...

The Outrageous Okona is a really lame episode. There's a whole webpage out there somewhere devoted to systematically destroying it, but the short of it is that Okona really isn't that outrageous - even to the Enterprise crew - the A-plot is stupid and boring (hell, they explicitly state that there'...

I use a 21" CRT at home and take a 17" LCD to LAN parties. (I'd use the LCD concurrently at home, but my desk doesn't really allow for that.

Plextor is a premium brand; they have a very, very good reputation for high quality, but you pay extra for buying a Plextor drive. I wouldn't call nVidia a premium brand (especially as you don't pay extra for the nVidia name), they're just a very competitive video card maker. If you're in the market...

I've gotten myself hooked on the TV show. Hope to have it finished before the week is out so I can go see Serenity in theaters.

I have to admit I wasn't terribly keen on the aesthetics at first, but the characters have more than made up for it.

You could easily assemble a file server with comparable capacity and fault-tolerance (i.e. one of the hard drives dies) for probably at least a thousand dollars less than that LaCie box. One of the drives dies in that LaCie and all two terabytes bites it.

Re: Space Shuttle and ISS were/are a mistake

If NASA lost its way in the '70s, what should have been done instead? Unfortunately, they didn't have many options; Congress was slashing their budgets so hard I wouldn't be at all surprised if the NASA staff were seriously wondering if the whole organization was about to be dismantled. What really...

Stofsk, you're forgetting that Sharon's consciousness would have been transferred; therefore, it's not a permanent sort of death. Cally acted not out of a vague sense of punishing the Cylons for the destruction of the Colonies, but out of revenge for Adama's shooting. It was probably a crime of pass...
