Re: Working on an RPG Rules Set

Charisma Intrigue Leadership Negotiation As a GM, you almost never call for skill checks in social situations, with the occasional exception of gather information and intimidate. But even in these exceptions, the importance of PC stats are outweighed by circumstantial bonuses for physical strength,...

Oops ok had forgotten about Dark Heresy my bad, has been a bit of time since I looked at my character for that game.

I will then suggest that you add scrutiny as a skill.

This has my curiosity especially as to how things will turn out. I notice you have percepton as an attribute instead of a skill, may I ask what the reason for this is. I only know of the WoD system that does this and do you plan on having a skill to work with it, as put up against a person with good...

Elf, Briton, Dwarf etcetera are races. Witch hunting is a career. You haven't actually asked a question.

Cat, I've never pictured you as Cthulu I'm afraid to say. As for my picture, I'll just repeat the quote Nitram used "Put The Bunny Back In The Box." You would after having to face the shit he throws at us in his campaigns, he is pretty much even on the evil scale as Cthulu. He has this little smirk...

When Cynical has that "Cat that ate the Canary look", you know something horrid is about to happen. All you can hope for is 1. you get lucky as hell and do enough damage to kill it before it gets to act. 2. If you don't do enough damage to kill it Gord (Cynical's brother) does the dumb thing and cha...

The only way anyone could ever get me to watch this, is if they could manage to strapped me down like they did to Malcolm McDowell in A Clockwork Orange and even then I would try to swallow my tongue to put me out of my misery.

The elements don't bother Trizkel that much anymore, he learned from his first trip to the surface. The beginning of the campaign left him on the surface during a winter brought on by magic and it was not pleasant as he only had clothing suitable to living in the under dark. He has developed a power...

Ok. Syl needs some more protection, and hopefully Nal realizes this. Otherwise, Trizk is going to go apeshit when Syl gets killed . Because I really don't want to see Nalifan coming to Kaeryn begging for a Resurrection spell. It'd dent his pride too much. My ladyI laughed at your comment,...

.... Kaeryn knows a Gold Dragon?! What's even scarier is that the Dragon's right... Nalifan would make a good dragon. Although I pity him if he ever meets Torma. He'd kill her just to shut her up. He would more likely introduce Torma to Kunai, they both share the inquisitive and m...

I also forgot to mention that I like the personality of Typhu, strikes me as a borderline insane sociopath, who delights in peoples torment and misfortune, oh wait he is. I enjoyed that he finds humor in one of his peer's demise

Did you ever consider Nalifan knew that the fire would be countered, and he is more than capable of handling it if it didnt happen. You also may be aware that there are other non-evil algnments that come into play? As it stands they think Nalifan is evil and thier ignorance is not going to change, b...

The city was lost, the Banites had infiltrated the upper echilon and the ensuing faction wars would have torn it apart, shit look what happened to Zenthil Keep. The Banites would have wiped out each and every temple afterwards and along with the enevitable clash with the Nigtmasks there would be mor...

Well you guys came for help, you got it, one thing about Nalifan is he doesnt beat around the bush and subtlty(sp) is not in his nature. Also the city was ready to explode as it was and if there were riots many more lives would have been lost in the end.

A city can be rebuilt and more people would be willing to live in it without Banites running the place. Astinus actually strikes me as 3/4 Kantian and 1/4 emo

Yeah but if Astinus took just a moment to think of the fate of Westgate and thier own lives if Nalifan had not taken the steps he had, he might just get past his the fact that a small sacrifice is better in the end in comparison to what could have happened.

Poor Astinus, if he only knew what he was truly heading to. I guess he is not aware Nalifan wont be alone when he arrives to gie "Moral Justice" to the evil dispicable Drow mage. Astinus and Gaheris failed to do what Nalifan accomplished, but they can now both sleep at night now that they have saved...

Trizkel knew the importance of Gaheris getting revenge, hence letting him get the finish on an asshole of Razhal's magnitude. Now its time to get down to the nasty work .

The alternative would have been way worse if the Nightmasks and Banites were allowed to takover Westgate, innocents going to the altar of Bane and feeding the vampires insatiable bloodthirst.

With destruction comes renewal, the city can be rebuilt and can you think of anything else that would drive the vampires from thier hidden lairs that would be as effective as fire?
